Apollo Telemedicine, Inc., is planning to launch eHealthStat, a physician-to-physician subscriber-based telemedicine diagnostic network by which physicians can interact with other specialists and their patients over the internet as if they were all in the same location.

Aptilon Health, a provider of business-to-business e-marketing solutions designed for the pharmaceutical and medical device industries has launched its line of e-commerce products. The company has developed individualized software solutions that integrate with marketers' Web sites, enabling them to track medical professionals' needs, and to act on those needs in real-time. Aptilon's solutions make it easy for health care marketers to provide visitors to their web site with specific product and service recommendations and/or detailed, relevant content in real-time.

Immunex Corporation has introduced oncologyknowledge.com, a website to help patients and health care providers in their fight against cancer. The web site contains links to leading non-profit cancer research and treatment organizations, medical institutions, professional journals and professional organizations. For cancer patients, there is a private, interactive journal that allows them to keep track of doctor appointments, blood counts, injections and contact information.

Cerner Corporation has acquired Citation Computer Systems, Inc. a marketer of laboratory systems for small to mid-sized hospitals. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter 2000.

Invida Outcomes Network has launched a consumer health Internet site featuring disease-specific patient registries and original outcomes research. The site will produce aggregate data based on the health experiences of patients within more than 100 disease areas such as arthritis, breast cancer, heart disease and migraines. The data will be used to generate reports to help members better understand their conditions and responses to treatments.

eMD.com, a business-to-business Internet healthcare subsidiary of BioShield Technologies, Inc. has acquired LabAmerica.com, an Internet company that allows individuals to use the Web to order their own medical lab tests. Available tests include cancer, HIV, cholesterol, diabetes, arthritis, pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases and urine drug screens.

Seraphim, Inc., is developing PatientWise.net. In addition to referring patients to hospitals and doctors, PatientWise will also help them compare quality data on a wide choice of medical providers. Open-heart surgery, cancer surgery, certain orthopedic and neurosurgical procedures are examples of the kinds of care that will be obtainable through patientwise.net.
