The Ontario government has dedicated $7 million to expanding treatment and support for people with diabetes. The fund will provide resources to enhance continuing care, education and support for Ontarians affected by diabetes and its complications, enhance aboriginal-specific diabetes treatment and increase primary prevention initiatives. To date more than 600,000 Ontarians have diabetes and that number is expected to double within a decade.
Celera Genomics has signed an agreement with The Hospital for Sick Children (HSC) in Toronto that provides a multi-year subscription to certain Celera database products. HSC subscribers will access Celera's database information through the Celera Discovery System.
