Canada's Queen's University has developed an e-screening solution for SARS that could become the world standard for tracking infectious diseases in hospitals. The Queen's University Anesthesiology Informatics Laboratory (QUAIL) electronically tracks the signs and symptoms of severe acute respiratory syndrome among hospital patients, family members and staff, and has already been implemented in more than 22 Ontario hospitals.
